The Accounting Intern will be responsible for assisting with the general ledger and monthly financial reporting.
The Accounting Intern will report to the Staff Accountant.
Reconciling the various companies’ bank accounts
Assisting with preparing monthly general ledger account analyses
Assisting with preparing spreadsheets to track insurance and bond payments
Preparing and writing journal entries and cash receipt entries
Tracking and accounting for all monthly owner requisitions and subcontractor payments into Accounting Software
Assisting with preparing and analyzing the project’s financial schedules
Reconciling Owner Change Orders, Backcharges and Subcontractor Change Orders
Assisting with preparing The Grunley Companies' Financial Statements
Assisting in the annual audit of Grunley’s Consolidated Financial Statements with the independent auditors
Liaison with Project Accountant
Working towards a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration
2nd, 3rd or 4th year student
Successful completion of 4 core classes: Introduction to Accounting I and II, Intermediate Accounting, and Cost Accounting (or enrollment in classes, if not all completed)
